Un terreno di oltre 40.000 metri quadri, interamente recintato e coltivato ad agrumeto, e una cappella gentilizia completano la proprietà. La costruzione risale al 1700: era in origine un grande fabbricato rurale al centro di una vasta tenuta agricola, che fu parzialmente ristrutturato nell’800 per accogliere i proprietari gentilizi. Successivamente, nella seconda metà del ‘900, vi furono fatti i lavori che la resero quella che è adesso, una comoda residenza estiva carica di charme. Alla proprietà si accede da due ingressi: un cancello che porta direttamente all’agrumeto, attraversato da un viale di eucalipti, magnolie e agavi importate dal nord Africa ai primi del ‘900, che porta fino al confine della proprietà; e un portone carrabile che, attraverso un arco a tutto sesto, porta a una bellissima corte quadrata pavimentata con basole originali della stessa pietra locale con cui fu costruita la scala che porta al piano nobile, così come le cornici di porte e finestre. L’edificio si sviluppa attorno alla corte: al piano terreno troviamo i locali usati per il ricovero delle macchine agricole e magazzini. Il piano nobile è occupato per metà dall’appartamento padronale, composto da stanze ampie e luminose che si affacciano sul giardino. Alcune di queste, come la grande stanza da letto padronale d’angolo, hanno un grazioso balconcino in pietra con delle panciute ringhiere di ferro battuto e affaccio sul mare. Le otto stanze da letto, quasi tutte con bagno, e la biblioteca con numerosi libri antichi si trovano lungo l’ala est e sud, mentre una grande sala da pranzo, e i salotti si trovano nell’ala nord da cui si accede attraverso una scala interna alla torretta che ospitava gli alloggi dello staff. L’ala ovest è destinata ai servizi: appartamento del custode, cucina e uffici. I pavimenti dell’appartamento padronale sono in graniglie dell’epoca, e in alcuni ambienti i soffitti sono decorati, con una delicata carta da parati dipinta a mano in stile.
